A licensed funeral director, embalmer, preneed agent, and crematory operator, Chad, a lifelong resident of McDowell County, is a graduate of McDowell High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia with 28 years of experience as a funeral service professional.
Chad and his wife, Jill have two children, a son, Zach, and a daughter, Allie. He is a member and a deacon at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church.
"It is my desire to serve each family with my utmost ability during this most difficult time. I will place the wishes of families first in all services I conduct."
Jill is a native of McDowell County and a graduate of McDowell High School. She is the daughter of Ray and Sarah Bright and a member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church.
She and her husband, Chad have a son, Zach, who attends McDowell High School; and a daughter, Allie who attends East McDowell Middle School.
Jill, a notary public, enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
John Ray and his wife, Joyce are members of Grace Baptist Church where he is currently a pianist.
After many years of working in local meat markets and owning his own business, John Ray felt a calling to begin his ministry in the funeral service industry where he has served continuously for the past 30 years. At times John, who enjoys music, will play piano during services.
Don is a lifelong resident of McDowell County and resides in the Haw Branch Community of Marion. A member and deacon of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Don and his wife of 48 years, Louann, have one daughter, Donna.
When Don is not driving a school bus for the McDowell County Schools, he spends his time gardening and raising small farm animals.
Ricky and his wife, Tracy Henry Crisp have been married for 32 years and have one daughter, Cambria. They currently reside in the Pleasant Gardens Community and attend Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Ricky, who had been employed with the McDowell County Sheriff's Office for 23 years, retired as patrol captain at the end of August 2016. He is Vice President of the McDowell County Crime Stoppers. Ricky also served in the United States Army.

Ray and his wife of 53 years, Sarah, are members of Ashworth Road Missionary Baptist Church and reside in the Sugar Hill Community. He and his wife have three children and three grandchildren.
Ray is a car enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his family. He is a member of the Gideon's International West Camp.
Jim and his wife, Pam of 50 years, are residents of the Cross Mill Community in Marion. They have five children and five grandchildren. Jim is a licensed crematory operator.
Jim enjoys spending time with his family, his three canines; and riding around on Lake James in his fishing boat.
Terry and his wife Barbara currently reside in Nebo. A veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam, Terry and Barbara have two sons and two grandchildren.
A member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church, Terry enjoys traveling and his classic cars.
Diana, following 21 years, retired as a custodian at the McDowell County Courthouse. She is a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. A 1974 graduate of Saint Ambrose College, Miss Diana received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
In her spare time, she enjoys yard sales and going to the flea market.
A resident of Pleasant Gardens, Roy and his wife of 52 years, Billie, have two sons, William and John Moore; and three granddaughters.
Roy retired from McDowell Tech Community College where he had worked in the custodial department. He enjoys hunting and fishing, but you can find him occasionally playing his guitar and singing.
Jack joined our staff in December of 2019. He and his wife of 44 years, Diane are residences of Glenwood Community. They have one son, one daughter; and three grandsons.
A member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Jack is part of the audio/video and security teams. An avid golf player, he enjoys sports cars; and is a member of the NCHSAA Basketball Officials Association.
Sara Gardner is a resident of Nebo and is a 2000 graduate of McDowell High School. She attended McDowell Tech Community College where she received her associate's degree.
The daughter of Doug Gardner and the late Shirley Gardner, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and friends; and especially her canine companion, "LuLu".
Jarrett has had a desire to be in funeral service from a very early age. He began his career in 2018 and has been apart of our staff since June 2020. He is enrolled in the funeral service program through Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Jarrett is a lifelong McDowell County resident and is a graduate of McDowell High School. He is a member of Marion Church of Christ.
Erin Lovelace is a native of McDowell County and a graduate of McDowell High class of 1995. She and her husband, James Lovelace enjoy traveling to the beach. They are members of the Nebo Crossing Church.
Mike joined Beam Funeral Service in May 2020. He is the Choir Leader at the Yancey Street Baptist Church. He and his wife Wendy live in Nebo. They have two daughters; Amber Fulbright and April Ledbetter and her husband Austin.
Mike enjoys fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
Addie is a certified and licensed therapy dog who was born and trained in the Roanoke Virginia area. She is a Goldendoodle who joined our staff in August of 2019.
She is available to comfort families upon request most days at the funeral home. In her spare time, Addie lives with the Beam family and enjoys playing with the kids, fetching balls, and watching the squirrels.
Jeff along with his wife Annie is the owner of the funeral home. Jeff is a 1985 graduate of Wayne State University’s Mortuary Science Program.
He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University which he earned in 1992. He enjoys exercising and spending time off with his children – Maggie, Jack and Peter.
Jeff and his family are members of the St. Basil Catholic Church. When time allows, Jeff likes to be active in our community and is a member of the Kiwanis Club, Loyal Order of the Moose, Sons of the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus. In 2013, Jeff and his family were the St. Basil Knights of Columbus Family of the year.
Jeff was recognized by the Bobby Walker Administration with their Leadership Award in 2010. He was also recognized by the First Spiritual Church of Covert for his role in community leadership in 2015.
