Yvonne Terry Chapman Shehan

Yvonne Terry Chapman Shehan, 67, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on her birthday, November 16, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

A native of New Jersey, she was born to the late Marion and Olive Chapman.

Yvonne was a very strong-minded and funny lady who enjoyed laughing. Her main goal in life was to help anyone she could. She loved her family dearly, and her husband Jim was her world.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Chapman.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Shehan; two sons, Jack Wesley Buchanan and Rodney Burnette; two stepdaughters, Katherine Schoenen and Jamie Bryant (David); four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two siblings, Bryan Chapman and Donnie Ellis; numerous extended family members; a special friend who was like a sister, Gwen McCarson; and her canine companion, Buddy.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
