Wilma Moore

Wilma Chrisawn Moore, age 93, of Morganton, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on the morning of Thursday, May 2, 2019 at her residence.  Born November 23, 1925 in Yancey County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Roxie Duncan Chrisawn. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Moore. 

Having had a fondness of being outdoors, Wilma loved working in her garden, especially tending to her roses. 

She is survived by two sons, Charles F. Smith and Thomas Joey Smith (Trecia), both of Morganton; one sister, Gladys Thomas of Burnsville; one granddaughter, Cindy Letterman; and one great granddaughter, Bailey Zimmer. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion.  A private interment will be held at McDowell Memorial Park.
