Wilma Grace Styles Autrey

Wilma Grace Styles Autrey, 70, of Marion, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

A native of Yancey County, Wilma was born August 26, 1953 to the late Ules Grant Styles and Atlas Davis Styles. She was also preceded in death by six siblings, Robert Styles, Helen Davis, Edna Walker, Ulysses Styles, Ruby Walker, and Dorothy Nguyen.

Wilma was a graduate of East Yancey High School. She was an excellent homemaker and a great cook. She enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, and she found great peace at the beach. Wilma was a kind, sweet, and gentle soul to all who she knew.

  She is survived by her husband, Gary Dean Autrey; and two sisters, Edith Bridges and Alma Ayers.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service.
