Wilma T. Elliott, age 85, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 02, 2017 at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in Black Mountain. Born in Madison County, North Carolina on April 07, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorchia Baldwin Taylor.
A lifelong member of Clinchfield United Methodist Church, Wilma was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charlie F. Elliott, who passed away March 03, 2007; four sisters, Irene Toney, Valgene Taylor, Lillian Hughes, and Mae Hollifield; and two brothers, Wilford Taylor and Roy Taylor.
She is survived by her son, Charles Elliott; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 05, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Allen Rash officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
