William Scott Stockton

William Scott Stockton, age 46, of Marion, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2017 with a smile on his face. He was born in McDowell County on April 19, 1970 to William Howard and Anna Smith Stockton.

Scotty was known to be an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. But most of all he loved his family especially his grandchildren and his dog “Little bit”.

In addition to his parents, Scotty is survived by two children, Tyler Stockton (Nicole) and Casey Stockton (Ashley) both of Spruce Pine; two brothers, Chris Stockton of Colorado and Jody Stockton of Marion. Also, surviving Mr. Stockton are his three grandchildren, Madison Leon, Haven Brooke Wheeler and Angel Faith Wheeler; and four nephews, Nathan and Christopher Stockton and Bradley and Heath Dale.

A funeral service for Mr. Stockton will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service Chapel with Reverends Clay Dale and Josh Miller. Also, speaking will be his son’s Casey and Tyler Stockton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Snow Hill Cemetery.
