William Ernest Shuffler

William Ernest Shuffler, 75, of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

He was born on March 3, 1947 to the late Gordon Shuffler and Elizabeth Alice Terry Shuffler Moody. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three siblings, Gordon Shuffler, Jr., Roy Shuffler, and Betty Metcalf. William enjoyed working on cars his whole life, and he was especially proud of his 1955 Ford.

He is survived by three siblings, Mary Hogan, Ralph Shuffler (Matavia), and Meritta Metcalf (Johnny); and niece and nephew, Newana Shuffler and Terry Shuffler.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with his brother, Rev. Ralph Shuffler, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private at Glen Alpine Cemetery.
