William "Jack" Hollifield

William “Jack” Hollifield, 78, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

A native of McDowell County, Jack was born May 17, 1944 to the late James Harvey Hollifield and Georgia King Hollifield.

Jack was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for many years in manufacturing. Jack enjoyed going to Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee as well as playing games on his kindle. He also loved biscuits and gravy with a good cup of coffee.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two children, Charles James Hollifield and Donna Marie Hollifield; and two sisters, Martha McCraw and Mary Bartlett.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Joyce Honeycutt Hollifield; son, Jimmy Dean Hollifield; six grandchildren, Kaden, Willow, Ashlyn, Maggie, Madison, and Avery; and five great grandchildren, Decklyn, Leland, Landon, Whiten, and Waylon.
