William “Bill” Wyatt, age 82, of Marion, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, April 16, 2021. Born on February 06, 1939, he was the son of the late Walter and Evelyn “Evie” Wyatt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Smith Wyatt, who passed away in 2008; second wife, Judy Swafford Wyatt, who passed away in 2017; one son, Mark Wyatt; as well as several brothers and sisters.
Bill enjoyed singing, especially gospel music. He loved trout fishing and watching the Atlanta Braves or UNC Tar Heels playing.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Teri (Ken) Solomita; sons, Steve (Venita) Wyatt and Jamie Wyatt; stepsons, Johnny (Tammy) Bradley and Mike (Dina) Bradley; grandchildren, BJ (Crystal) Wyatt, Megan (Chris) Wilkinson, Mallory (Blake) Peterson, Evan McMahan, Justin Solomita, Ethan Solomita, Amber (Hobie) Hollifield, Ranin Bradley, Katie Duncan, Kyle Bradley and Madison Bradley. Bill is also survived by his great grandchildren, Chyenne, Eden, Everly, Allie, Eliana, Ezra; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; one sibling, Lillian Roland; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Yancey Street Baptist Church, 302 East Yancey Street in Marion with Pastor Dean Owenby, Pastor Paul Boyd and Pastor Brian Bird officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
