William "Al" Farley

William “Al” Farley, age 73, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side.  The son of the late Floyd and Eula Mae Wilson Farley, Al was born in Charleston, South Carolina. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Ronnie.

A lifetime member of the PGA, Al was a former golf pro at the Marion Lake Club in Nebo and Quaker Meadows Golf Club in Morganton. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice; two sons, William “Scooter” (Kristi) and Frank (JoAnn); two grandchildren, Rachel and Lucy; three brothers, Richard (Pat), Phillip (Wanda) and David; and one special sister-in-law, Ann. 

In keeping with Al’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
