Willard L. Hardin, Jr.

Willard “Bo” Hardin, Jr., age 86, passed away peacefully Friday, November 11, 2016, at Jonas Ridge Adult Care. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on February 22, 1930 to the late Willard Sr. and Virginia Cole Hardin.

A veteran of the United States Army, he proudly served his country in the Korean War. Willard was a graduate of the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and was very musically talented. He also enjoyed his hobby with amateur radios.

Willard is preceded in death by a brother, Walter Don Hardin.

He is survived by one son, Christopher Hardin; one brother, Robert E. Hardin and wife Helen; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Eternal Hills Cemetery in Spindale, North Carolina.
