Wilburn "Buddy" Lee, Jr.

Wilburn “Buddy” Lee, Jr., age 67, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his residence.  A native of Haywood County, North Carolina, born on April 09, 1953, he was the son of the late Wilburn D. Lee, Sr. and Emma Jean Shelton Lee. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Lee; and one nephew, Bobby Evans. 

A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Buddy’s family meant the world to him.  Spending time outdoors, especially fishing, done his heart good.  An honorary member of Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church in Marion, Buddy loved the Lord and sharing his talent of playing the guitar for not only his family, but for his church family. 

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 23 years, Sherry Lee; two sons, Dwain Lee (Ronda) and Brandon Lee (Megan Rose); one grandson who meant the world to him, Alex Lee; two sisters, Christine Evans and Wanda Howard; and one brother, Doug Lee (Linda) and their son, Arthur Lee; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  Buddy is also survived by his canine companion, “Hobo”; and his pet bird, “Charlie”.

A celebration of Buddy’s life will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church with Brother John Crowder officiating.
