Wayne Wills

Wayne Wills, age 59, of Marion, North Carolina went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, September 14, 2018 at Mission Hospital McDowell, surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born August 10, 1959 in McDowell County, NC to the late Robert Joseph Wills and Dottie Norris Wills.  He worked for PCA in Morganton and was a member of New Manna Baptist Church.  Wayne was outgoing, friendly and never met a stranger.  Nor did he forget a face or what kind of car they drove.  He enjoyed hot rods and going to car shows and he liked to trade.  He loved Jesus Christ and often told others about how Jesus had changed his life.   

Those left behind to cherish Wayne’s memories are his beloved wife of 38 years Darlene Jones Wills; two children, Chris Wills and wife, Sarah and Hope Hudgins and husband, Michael; two brothers, Chuck Wills and wife, Cindy and Joey Wills and wife, Judy; a special friend/brother, Bobby Hughes and wife, Brenda; and seven beloved grandchildren, who were Wayne’s pride and joy, Madison, Payton, Christian, Hunter, Abigail, Izzabella and Kasen.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at New Manna Baptist Church.  A memorial service to celebrate Wayne’s life will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Tony Shirley and Rev. Matt McDaniels officiating.
