Warren Edmond Cochran

Mr. Warren Edmond Cochran Sr., age 82 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, July 04, 2019 at his residence with his loving family by his side. The son of the late Dock Cochran and Leona Barker Cochran, he was born in Swain County on July 31, 1936.

Warren was a mountain of a man rough and rugged on the outside with some hot lava flowing within and a mostly hidden soft center.

He touched the lived of countless people over the years. Although he displayed a gruff exterior, he was a kind and generous person. Warren was as quick to help someone as he was with his wit.

His accomplishments, exploits, and shenanigans would fill a large book.

Left behind to cherish Warrens memory are his wife of nine years, Doris Cochran; three children, Warren Cochran Jr. and wife Sue, Beverly Root, and Michael Cochran; one step-son, Kevin Lail; two grandchildren, Matthew Cochran and James Cochran, as well as a great granddaughter, Gabrielle Cochran.
