Walter "Hawk" Sheehan

Walter “Hawk” Sheehan, age 62, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 09, 2019.  The son of the late Thomas and Earline Conner Sheehan, he was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on June 22, 1957. 

An avid outdoorsman, Walter enjoyed ginseng hunting.  He loved spending time with his family and his four dogs, and will be missed by all who knew him. 

Walter is survived by his four children, Amy Sheehan, Shane Johnson, Christopher Johnson and Bonnie Jo Mullett; five siblings, Kathy Radford (Rob), Bruce Sheehan (Candy), Carolyn English (Fuzzy), Missy Bradley (Nathan) and Janet Ledford (Ray); seven grandchildren; and his best friends, Hammer Bailey and Janet Bailey.

A celebration of Mr. Sheehan’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service.
