Virginia "Ginny" Ruth Conley

September 8, 1942 — March 31, 2020

Mrs. Virginia “Ginny” Ruth Vickers Conley age 77, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine North Carolina. She was born on September 8, 1942 and is the daughter of the late Clyde Woodrow and Annie Mae McCoy Vickers.

 

Ginny was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as the church treasurer. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. Ginny was known to always be saying “have faith”. She was a loving mother and nanny, and will be missed greatly.

 

Surviving Mrs. Conley is her loving husband of sixty years Gay Brabson Conley; a daughter, Vonda Vaughn (Wesley); a sister, Joyce Pool (Harold); four grandchildren, Marcus Burrows (Megan), Megan Vaughn, Christian Vaughn, Kristin Vaughn; three great grandchildren Braxton, Bentley and Brookelynn Burrows.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
