Vickie Alexander King, 70, of Ellenboro, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at her residence.
Vickie was born in Fletcher on May 15, 1951 to the late Oliver Alexander and Leola Anderson Alexander.
She was a member of Bible Tabernacle in Ruth and will be remembered as a devout Christian woman. She was loved all over the world by the missionaries she supported. Vickie worked for many years as a CNA, of which she was very proud. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Vickie was the matriarch of her family. She was a natural leader in every group she was a part of. Vickie was a strong woman and was also loyal, genuine, honest, and caring.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Jackie Cain and Shawnee Cain; and a brother, Steve Alexander.
She is survived by her husband, Luther King; six children, Tommy Cain, Racheal Cain, Oliver King (Shawn), Sara Cash (Brian), Thomas Alexander, and Tori King; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a brother, Tommy Alexander.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 01, 2021 at Bible Tabernacle at 3:00 p.m. with Revs. Joe Greene and Eric Gardin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Cliffside Cemetery.
