Vicki McKinney

Vicki McKinney, age 64, of the Pleasant Gardens Community, went home to be with Lord on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  Her loving family was by her side.  A native of Stanley County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Rudy and Margaret Austin Long.

A loving and wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Vicki enjoyed being in the company of her dog, but most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  She attended Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. 

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 46 years, Junior McKinney of the home; one son, Jason McKinney (Lacey) of Pleasant Gardens; two precious grandchildren, Lily and James McKinney; and a sister-in-law who was also a special friend to her, Linda Thornburg (Robert) of Marion.

A celebration of Miss Vicki’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Webb officiating.
