Verna Lou Wickline

Verna Lou Meadows Wickline, age 74, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on the night of Saturday, December 16, 2017 at her residence. Born in Beaver, West Virginia on June 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Jessie Lilly Meadows. 

A loving mother, sister and grandmother, Verna enjoyed sewing, crafts, fishing, feeding the humming birds and making flower arrangements.  A wonderful cook, she loved her two canine companions, Trixie and Sarah, but most of all, spending quality time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wickline, who passed away on December 6, 2016; and eleven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Valarie Jane Lowry (Ray), Valerie Joy Coffman (Scott) and Shirley Harris (Dennis); one sister, Patricia Hutchinson (Earl); two grandchildren, Ray Lowry III (Crystal) and Leigh Ann Hannel; and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Sailors officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
