Valorie Kaye Washburn Hall

Valorie Kaye Washburn Hall, 70, of Marion, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023.

A native of McDowell County, she was born July 18, 1953 to the late Onan and Shirley Boyd Washburn.

Valorie was the most giving, loving, caring, and forgiving person ever. She was never judgmental and always gave the best advice. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. She was most happy when she was taking care of others, and she loved her family immensely. This world is a better place because of her and it will never be the same without her in it.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Hall; son, Jerry Wayne Hall (Hope); two grandchildren, Megan Lowry (Cody) and Rebecca Hall; two great grandchildren, Miles and Parker; three siblings, Joe Ervin Washburn, Sr. (Judy), Kevin Washburn, and Penny Wood (Rick); and several nieces and nephews who she loved and helped raised.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Rick Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Cross Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
