Troy "Til" Tilden Brown, Jr.

Troy Tilden Brown, Jr., 66, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on  Friday, March 24, 2023.

Til was born on January 14, 1957 in McDowell County to the late Troy Tilden Brown, Sr. and the late Jewell Finley Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Atkins Brown.

He was a member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church. Til was an avid musician and was talented with any instrument with strings except the fiddle. He enjoyed training and selling hunting dogs. Til worked in the scale house at the Burke County landfill where he loved handing out candy and Icee Pops to the children.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Gwendolyn Brown Bray and her fiancé Rhett Duckworth; brother, Gary Brown; three grandchildren, Hunter Bray, Chase Bray and Cole Bray; one great grandchild, Takoda Good; a niece Alisha Sanders (Josh); and a nephew, Jesse Brown.

At Tils request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
