Troy Leon Davis

Mr. Troy Leon Davis, age 72, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at his residence.  A native of McDowell County, born February 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary Hall Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Davis and Paul Davis, Jr.

For many years, Troy worked at Cross Cotton Mill up until they closed and he then went to work at Marion Manufacturing.  Following his employment there, he then went to work at B&J Chevrolet in Marion, where he took great pride in detailing and delivering vehicles.  When he was able, Troy enjoyed fishing and was a long-time member of Glenwood Independent Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Marie Lee and Rebecca Ann Gallion, both of Marion; one brother, Spencer Davis (Judy) of Marion; two grandchildren, Jonathan R. Lee (Tiffany Loftin) and Stephanie Ann Brooks (Anthony); and two great grandchildren, Ava Marie Lee and Brantley James Brooks.  Troy is also survived by his special canine companions, Opie, Porky and Tiny.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Independent Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Gentry officiating.
