Tommy Arrowood

Tommy Arrowood, age 70, of Marion, NC went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 17, 2018 at SECU Hospice House (Hospice of Rutherford County), surrounded by his loving family.

Tommy was born January 9, 1948 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Fletcher Arrowood and Wray Hill Arrowood.  He was a member of Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church where he formerly served on numerous committees.  Tommy enjoyed all sports but was an avid UNC Tarheel fan.  He loved to watch his grandchildren playing sports.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was known for his sense of humor. 

Left behind to cherish Tommy’s memories are his wife of 39 years, Diane Arrowood; four children, Penny Vaughn (Scottie), Lee Robinson (Sheila), Robby Robinson and Amanda Sluder; two brothers, Burrel Arrowood (Blanche) and Earl Arrowood (Vickie); seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A Memorial Service to celebrate Tommy’s life will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Josh Hayes officiating.
