Tina Denise Gee

Tina Denise McKinney Gee, 46, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

Born in Mitchell County, North Carolina to Larry McKinney and Kathy Hall McKinney, she was born on February 15, 1974.

Known to all as a strong woman, Tina had been fighting cancer for 19 years. She could always light up a room with her personality and beautiful smile. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are her loving husband, Joey Gee; two children, Josh McKinney and Anthony Gee; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jacoby McKinney; two siblings, Larry Dean McKinney II (Tabitha) and Melissa Hall (Keith); one niece, Anissa Hall; one nephew, Derrick Bessent; and her mother-in-law, Linda Smith. An avid animal lover, she is also survived by her beloved canine companions, Seal, Bear, Scrappy, Lilly, Big Boy, and Joker.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, July 03, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Revs. Bobby Hughes and Charles Duyck officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Community Cemetery.
