On the evening of Saturday, November 30, 2024, Timmy Brian Phillips, 66, of Old Fort, passed away peacefully at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
He was born on March 13, 1958 in Petersburg, Virginia. Timmy dedicated many years of his life to construction work. His skills were not only reflected in the quality of his craftsmanship, but also in his passion for remodeling homes. Timmy was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, often going out of his way to assist others with their projects. He also spent time helping his mother, Lou Jean, and her twin sister, Lorine, any way he could. His selflessness and dedication to helping family, friends, and neighbors will always be remembered.
He had a love for all kinds of sports, with a particular enthusiasm for NASCAR. Timmy also cherished the tranquility that came with fishing and working outside. These simple pleasures provided him with joy and a sense of peace.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Franklin Phillips, and his sister, Sherry Lynn Phillips.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lou Jean Lunsford Phillips; three children, Ryan “Danny” Phillips, Shawn Phillips, and Kendra Shea Phillps; grandchildren Miguel Lordeo, Dulce Lordeo, and Diego Lordeo; his brother, Michael Phillips and wife Ann; and one uncle, Benny Phillips.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
