Thomas Carey Spicer

Thomas Carey Spicer, age 70, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.

Born in LaGrange, Illinois to the late William Harold Spicer and Ann Jane Bestler, Thomas was born on January 10, 1950.

After graduating from Williams Bay High School and attending Whitewater College, Mr. Spicer served in the United States Navy. He lived a carefree life and held many occupations while living in Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Sally Spicer Cranor, Molly Spicer Horstman, and Jennifer Spicer Manz.

Survivors include two children, Coral Spicer and Carey Spicer; a granddaughter, Alana Spicer; and three siblings, Bill (Patsy) Spicer, John Spicer, and Cecelia Spicer (Jim) Currie, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held at this time. Burial and a celebration of life will take place in Illinois.
