Thomas Perkins, Jr.

Thomas Perkins, Jr., age 49, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.  Born in Wolf County, Kentucky on February 22, 1969, Thomas was the son of Thomas Perkins, Sr. and Janice Hager Perkins of Marion. 

Mr. Perkins is preceded in death by his wife, Kim Ellis Perkins, who passed away August 29, 2015.

An amazing father and son, Thomas enjoyed fishing and hunting, but loved to minister to those at assisted living facilities. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he attended Victory Temple Full Gospel Church in Nebo. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving daughter, Savannah Perkins; aunts, Maurine Perkins, Margaret Conley, Bonnie Hager and Rachel Hager; uncles, Robert Perkins, Floyd Perkins, Dennis Perkins and Junior Conley; and a special friend to him, Sean Smith.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Victory Temple Full Gospel Church with Rev. Pete McCombs and Rev. Mark Forbes officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force.  Interment will be held in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
