Theodore (Ted) Dixon

Theodore (Ted) Dixon, age 58 of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at his residence. The son of the late Findley Dixon and Pearl Powers Dixon, he was born on August 17, 1960.

Ted was known as a hardworking and loving man who cared for his family. He enjoyed working on older cars, and had a special place in his heart for his cat, Ottis; and dog, Dixie. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Hollifield; a daughter, Melissa Hollifield Dixon (James Woodie); a stepson, Denny Danner (Tammy Davis); one brother, Tim Dixon; and one sister, Wanda Shackleford. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Christian Hollifield (Leola Hall), Brittany Hollifield (Drew Wright) and Destiny Hollifield; and one great grandson, Liam Bo Hollifield.

A service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
