Thelma “Pam” Mahan Andrews, age 64, of the North Cove Community, passed away on Monday, January 02, 2017 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Appalachia, Virginia, born April 24, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Shepard Mahan.
She attended Faith Baptist Church, but most recently, attended Peppers Creek Baptist Church. Thelma loved spending time with her family and friends, especially children. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ray Andrews, who passed away in 2002; one son, Stephen Allen Andrews; and two brothers, Charles and David Mahan.
Left to cherish her memories, one daughter, Missy Andrews Effler of Marion; siblings, Wilma Smith, Jerry Mahan, Rita Allison, Bobby Mahan, Billy Mahan and Andy Mahan, all of Marion; and two grandsons, Cameron and Traybin Effler. Thelma is also survived by her extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 05, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Ashford Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the church.
