Tammy Dalton

     Tammy Denise Ferguson Dalton, 56, of Marion, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at her residence.

     Tammy was born in McDowell County, NC, on March 13, 1966, to Harvey Ferguson and the late Kaye Hensley Ferguson. She was married to the late Randall Jack Dalton, Jr. Tammy was a member of Marion Holiness Church and retired as a Registered Nurse after thirty years of dedicated service. She enjoyed gardening and was known to be able to grow anything. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother who touched the hearts of many. She will be greatly missed.  

     In addition to her husband and mother, Tammy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Macie Welch; and a brother, Jimmy Ferguson.

     She is survived by her father, Harvey Ferguson; four children, Joshua Dalton (Samantha), Emily Dalton, Hannah Dalton, and Braxton Dalton; two sisters, Joanne Ferguson and Diana Williams (Leonard); two brothers, Darrell Ferguson (Tabatha) and Chris Ferguson (Loretta); three grandchildren, Kyson Baker, Jaxson Dalton, and Eleanor Dalton; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Reverend Jack Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
