TA Boysworth, III

TA Boysworth, III, age 47, of Lake Lure, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born on November 10, 1973 to Brenda Woodby Johnson and the late Theodore Alonzo Boysworth, II.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Honnie Woodby, and a special uncle Ronnie Woodby.

He was a graduate of McDowell High School, were he was a very active member of the wrestling team. TA started his career as a correctional officer at the Marion Correction Institution where he worked for twenty five years. The past three years he was employed in Swannanoa and was promoted to warden. He enjoyed the outdoors especially working with his horses, camping, fishing and building things. TA was a great cook on the grill and was a loving husband, brother and son. He loved his horse, Django and his dogs, Nasty and Kyzer.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Samantha Boysworth; his parents, Brenda Woodby Johnson (Elihu); his siblings, Matthew Johnson (Genia), Molly Eiriksson, Amanda Crowder (Jacob), Clifford Johnson (Lindsey) and Clayton Johnson (Ashley). Also surviving TA are a special coach Tim Hutchins and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service.
