Sylvia Kaye Silver Proctor

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 03, 2021, Mrs. Sylvia Kaye Silver Proctor, 75, of Marion, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord following an extended illness.

She was born in Mitchell County on April 06, 1946, to the late David Hamilton Silver and Nora Marie Briggs Silver.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Sylvia’s greatest love was the Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed board games and have several favorites including Scrabble, Yahtzee, and Phase 10. Sylvia will be remembered as a wonderful cook who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on family vacations.

In addition to her parents, a son, Michael Curtis Proctor, precedes her in death.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Rev. Fred S. Proctor, Sr.; four children, Fred S. Proctor, Jr. (Ann), David Eric Proctor (Wendy), Joseph Brian Proctor, and Anita Proctor Butts (Brian); fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three brothers, Ray Silver (Robbin), Joseph Silver (Beth), and Mike Silver (Betty).

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 07, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Curtis Carroll and Bro. Sammy Kent officiating. Interment will follow at West Court Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
