Suzanne Denise Ortiz

Suzanne Denise Labonville Ortiz, age 68, passed away at her home on the morning of Thursday, September 10, 2020.

A native of Berlin, New Hampshire, Suzanne was born on November 12, 1951 to the late Emilien and Dolorese Yvonne Doyer Labonville.

Mrs. Ortiz retired from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety as a corrections officer. She will be remembered as a very loving person who was strong-willed and never met a stranger. She was always helping others, and her grandchildren were her world.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sons, Rupert Ortiz, Miguel Ortiz, and Frederick Ortiz, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Fred Ortiz; two daughters, Angela Fletcher and Farrah Adkins (Bradley); two grandchildren, Ahrayah Adkins and Bradley Adkins, Jr., and one on the way, Suzanne Adkins; as well as three siblings, Ginette Bloom, Lou Ramsey, and Norman Labonville.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service & Crematory on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
