Susan Michelle Williams

Susan Michelle Williams, was born on August 11, 1971, in McDowell County. It is with deep sorrow that we announce her passing on January 4, 2025, at her residence. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, whose love for her family and unwavering spirit had a profound impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ricky E. Williams; her parents, Paul and Shirley Hollifield; daughters Samantha Velez and her husband Tim, and Emily Morris; her granddaughter Maddie Morris; her grandson Sawyer Helms and granddaughters Liliana Velez and Everleigh Velez; and her siblings, sisters Annette Biddix, Linda Boston and her husband Tim, and Angela Hollifield, as well as brothers Scott Hollifield and his wife Amy, and Michael Hollifield. In addition, she leaves behind a number of nieces who adored her.

Throughout her life, Susan was a beacon of kindness and strength, often putting the needs of others before her own, even while facing her own health challenges. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her deep love for animals. Susan found immense joy in caring for her grandchildren, nurturing them with love and laughter. Above all, she loved the Lord. Susan's faith held a special place in her heart; she was a proud member of Turkey Cove Baptist Church.

Her memory will be honored with visitation at Turkey Cove Baptist Church in Marion, North Carolina, on January 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM with Reverend David Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at the Turkey Cove Baptist Church.

Susan Michelle Williams leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith that will be cherished by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in their hearts.
