Susan Mills

On the night of Thursday, December 05, 2019, while surrounded by her loved ones, Susan Lanning Mills, age 50, of Nebo, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville.  The daughter of the late John and Doris Curry Beck, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on March 05, 1969.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lorrie Edwards.

Susan enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, especially on a beautiful day.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband, Mark W. Mills; one son, Garrett Revis (Ashley); step-son, Justin Carroll; two daughters, Jessica Coleman (Michael) and Megan Mills (Justin Fowler); her precious grandchildren, Drake Fowler, Noah Fowler, Jay’lynn Coleman, Oakllen Coleman, Zoey Carroll, Lexi Revis, Aubrey Revis and Carter Revis; three sisters, one brother, special friends, Stephanie and Chris Hicks and Tracy Bolinger. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 09, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Billy Poteat officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home
