Susan Lynn Parker

Susan Lynn Woody Parker, age 66, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior at 7:30 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, February 20, 2020 following a brief illness.  The daughter of the late Edward and Joyce Patrick Woody, she was born in Marion, North Carolina on May 19, 1953. 

A loving, loyal and faithful wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Lynn was a friend to everyone.  For many years she had worked at Marion Pharmacy, where she enjoyed meeting and helping customers.  Most of all, Lynn loved spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.  She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Marion. 

Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving husband, Mike Parker; two daughters, Michelle Parker Allison and Ashley Parker; three siblings, Mike Woody, Kay Woody James and Ricky James Woody; and her two precious grandchildren, Hayes Parker Allison and Mary Grace Allison.

A service to celebrate the life of Lynn will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 930 Shady Lane in Marion with Dr. Eric Grindstaff and Pastor Gary Webb officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. 

A private graveside service will be held at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
