Stephen Eugene "Tic" Reed

Stephen Eugene “Tic” Reed, 63, of Old Fort, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native of McDowell County, he was born May 10, 1960 to Linda Lou Ledford Reed and the late Charles Edward Reed. Tic enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. You could always count on him to be joking and having fun with others. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all his family and friends. His special canine companion, Corkey, held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his mother, Linda Ledford Reed, he is survived by his siblings, Susan Bowman (Arthur), Roger Reed, Rick Reed, and Billy Reed; five nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hall, Tonya Bowman, Thomas Reed, Justin Reed, and Jessie Reed; a number of great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Besaw.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
