Smith Franklin Martin "Hank"

Smith Franklin Martin “Hank”, age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the SECU Hospice House in Forest City.  Born in Hamlet North Carolina on December 18, 1933, he was the son of the late Edgar and Lessie Smith Martin. 

A man who had a joy of Harley Davidson motorcycles and traveling, he had a love for supporting the Wounded Warrior Project, which was near and dear to him. He had retired following 20 plus years serving with the United States Navy.

Hank is survived by his three children, Alberta “Byrdi” Madigan (Craig), Teresa L. Martin and Debbie A. Dail.  He is also survived by all his dear close friends in his hometown of Ellenboro, North Carolina; and his canine buddy, Buggle Boy. 

There will be a celebration of life on December 11, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Life Center, Ellenboro, North Carolina from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Please bring your fond memories, pictures, and stories to share with family and friends of Hank.
