Simon Bradley Elliott, age 43, of Marion, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 5, 2018.
A native of McDowell County, Simon was born March 14, 1975 to Jesse Lee Elliott and Janice Robinson Elliott. He worked at Columbia Forest Products in Old Fort, NC. Simon was adventurous and loved Harley Davidson, he enjoyed music and playing his guitar, was a gun enthusiast; but his greatest pleasure in life was being Vincent’s father and a family man. He had a kind heart and loved spending time with his family and friends. His warm smile and embrace will be missed more than words can express.
Simon is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Floyd Robinson and his uncle, Edward Robinson.
In addition to his parents, left behind to cherish Simon’s memories are his partner, Heather McKinney; Heather’s parents, Joe and Kathy Stephan; Simon’s son and “pride & joy”, Vincent Bradley Elliott; his step-daughter, Serenity McKinney; one sister, Niki Elliott Ahern and husband, Brendan; his maternal grandmother, Geneva Robinson; a special friend and Vincent’s Godmother, Sue Simmons; 2nd mom and cousin, Shelia Hoppes; two nephews, Devin and Elliott Stevens; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Also surviving are many loyal friends including: Nick Guinn, Chase Gossett, James Johnson, Bryan Anderson and Robbie Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service. A memorial service to celebrate Simon’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
