Silas Sills, Jr.

Silas Sills, Jr. 75 of Marion, North Carolina passed away on the evening of Thursday, November 12, 2021 at Memorial Mission.

He was born on August 08, 1946 to the late Silas Sills, Sr. and Mary
Elizabeth Hogan Sills in Dunn North Carolina.
He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and worked as a over the
road truck driver for over 40 years. Wonderful husband, father and
grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, shuffle board and was an avid card player.
He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Silas is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Sills; two daughters,
Deanna Wetherell (David) and Tabitha Sills Goode (Asa); one brother, Fred
Sills (June) and three sisters, Mary Ann McClellan (Richard), Wanda Jones
and Belinda Briggs; five grandchildren, Aslyn Sills, Cassidy Wetherell,
Aubrey Goode, Lorelei Wetherell, A.J. Goode and numerous nieces and
nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 3:00
p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Junior Bailey
officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
