Shirley Faye Greene Beck

Shirley Faye Greene Beck, 72, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, February 03, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

A native of McDowell County, she was born July 25, 1949 to the late Homer Greene and Mary Thomas Greene.

A member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church, Shirley loved Jesus with her whole heart. She was known as a prayer warrior, and her favorite scripture was John 1:1. She was faithful to care for her family, and she truly loved everybody she came in contact with. Shirley loved family gatherings, cooking for everyone, and making people laugh.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Randy Beck; and a sister, Louise Ramsey.

She is survived by three children, Tracy Gentry (Jeff), Randy Beck, and Debbie Friesland; and four grandchildren, Jacob Lowe, Harlie Hollifield (Colby), Gage Gentry, and Corey Beck.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 07, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Muddy Creek Baptist Church with Pastors Daniel McMahan, Larry Gentry, and David Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
