Shawn Condrey

Shawn Patrick Condrey, 62, of Old Fort passed away unexpectedly at The McDowell Hospital on Monday, September 2, 2024. 

Shawn was born in Guilford County on April 15, 1962 to William Harold Condrey and Patsy Ann Ayers who preceded him in death. 

Shawn loved sports and was an avid UNC Tarheel fan. He was also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Playing golf was one of his favorite past times. Shawn was a former referee and coach for McDowell County youth basketball, baseball and softball. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend to many who will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Melony Foutch, Kevin Condrey, and James Kyle Condrey; seven nephews, four nieces, two great nephews and 7 great nieces. 

A memorial service for Shawn will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Kari Bellairs will conduct the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
