Scotty Allen Stevens Sr., 53, of Old Fort, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2022.
Scotty was born in McDowell County on April 25, 1968 to Norman Lee Stevens and Tina Elaine Silver Butler. Scotty was known as “Mr. Fixit” because of his many talents. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. Scotty loved his dogs Zoey and Miles and his cat Cornbread. His greatest love though, was his family, especially the grandkids. Scotty will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory including his parents are his wife of thirty nine years, Debbie Carter Stevens; three children, Nicole Lackey (Blake), Scotty Stevens (Christina) and Amanda Grant (Colby); sisters, Pamela Waters (Chris) and Deanna Banks (Tim); brothers, Rodney Stevens (Rhonda) and Brian Stevens (Tina); and seven grandchildren, Zane Stevens, Cherish Stevens, Ava Lackey, Harmony Grant, Tanner Stevens, Peyton Lackey and Aaron Grant.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.at the Living Waters Tabernacle in Old Fort with the Rev. Brandon Fore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Moffitt Hill Cemetery following the service.
