Scottie James Horton

Scottie James Horton, age 72, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1946 to the late Roy Edgar and Mae Gee Horton.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Debra Biggerstaff Horton, one brother, Arliss Horton and one granddaughter, Raquel White.

Scottie formally worked for Chrysler Motor Company but later enjoyed farming. He was known to be a jack of all trades. He loved the outdoors and will be greatly missed by all.

Scottie is survived by three step-children, Amy Nelson (Mike), Brian White (Hope) and Lisa Zaccagnini; one sister, Edna Horton Robinette. Also surviving Scottie are six grandchildren, Dylan Nelson, Chelsea Zaccagnini, Daren Zaccagnini, McKenzie Nelson, Ashley Nelson and Brycen White.

A service to celebrate Scottie’s life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Mr. Larry Hollifield officiating.
