Scott D. Wilson

Scott Dewayne Wilson, age 47, of Marion, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his home.

Scott was born December 21, 1970 in McDowell County to Nina Edwards Wilson of Marion, NC and to the late Mack Oliver Wilson, Jr.  He was a wonderful husband, son and brother.  He loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time with his family.  He had many hobbies and liked collecting things.

In addition to his mother, left behind to cherish Scott’s memories are his beloved wife, Sally Freeman Wilson; two brothers, Mack Oliver Wilson, III and Jackie S. Wilson (Teresa); two step-daughters, Kayla Vines Reed and Katherine Freeman; two step-grandchildren, Bentley Freeman and Drake Sifford; and five nephews, Michael Wilson, Malachi Wilson, Mack Oliver Wilson, IV, Sage Woodside and Lester Woodside.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Hillcrest Free Will Baptist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Bobby Revis and Rev. Bud Edwards officiating.  Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
