Sarah Ellen Robinson

Sarah Ellen Robinson, age 66, of the Pleasant Gardens Community passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at her residence.  A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born August 14, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lucy Burleson Robinson. 

Sarah, who enjoyed working with the public, was an associate at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Marion where she took great pride working in the garden center.  She was a member of Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara McNeill and one sister-in-law, Faye Robinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her five siblings; brother, Ralph Robinson (Ina), sister, Joyce Smith (Henry), brother, Harold Robinson (Nancy), brother, Jerry Robinson; and sister, Sandra Johnson (Dennis).  She is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty three great nieces and nephews; and ten great-great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor the life of Sarah will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Hayes officiating.  Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the church.
