Sarah Margaret Isaacs Bartholomew

Sarah Margaret Isaacs Bartholomew, 62, of Marion, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

 A native of McDowell County, Sarah was born on August 29, 1961 to Ruby Christine Robinson Isaacs and the late Billy Dean Isaacs.

 Sarah attended Dysartsville Church of Christ when her health allowed. She worked as an LPN for many years. She enjoyed taking care of others and making them smile. Sarah found great peace in the outdoors. She loved to go skiing and hiking. More than anything, she had a special passion for horses. Her life motto was “live, laugh, love” and she did all these things to the fullest.

 In addition to her mother, Ruby Isaacs, she is survived by two children, Stephanie Walker and Nicholas Walker; four grandchildren, Mason, Riley, TJ, and Braydon; two sisters, Susan Kanipe (Jeff) and Karen Wilson (Mark); and a special aunt, Linda Hutton.

 A memorial service will be held at the Marion Church of Christ, 765 State Street, on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Bill Stevens officiating.
