Sandra Duncan Grant

Sandra Duncan Grant, 66, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in McDowell County on August 03, 1955 to the late Ben Daniel Duncan and Mary Dulaney Duncan.

Sandra graduated from McDowell Technical Community College and worked as a CNA. She was a longtime employee of Cedarbrook Residential Center where she had a special place in her heart for all the residents. Sandra loved animals and will be remembered as a kindhearted and funny lady. More than anything, Sandra was selfless and would help anyone in need before herself. She will be missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Michelle Shehan; and a sister, Patsy Early.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Grant; two stepsons, Chad Grant (Deona Williams-Scott) and Jeffrey Grant (Payton Buchanan); three sisters, Rita Hall (Dennie), Janet Clark (Duane), and Kay Crisp; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date at their residence.
