Samuel "Sam" Ray Freshour

Mr. Samuel “Sam” Ray Freshour, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, February 09, 2021, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, in Rutherford County. He was born on February 01, 1966 in McDowell County, to Lynda Barton Freshour of Marion and the late Rev. Donald Ray Freshour.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Donald Ray Freshour; and his paternal grandfather, Rev. Arelin Freshour.

Samuel loved his family dearly. He had the gift to fix anything and loved to build and play golf. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Lynda Freshour; one son, Dustin Freshour (Casee); two grandchildren, Corbin and Turner Freshour; one brother, Tim Freshour and a paternal grandmother, Hazel Freshour.

A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
