Ruth Adams

Ruth Austin Adams, age 78, of Old Fort, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.  Born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on January 07, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William and Rosa Lee Redmon Austin. 

A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Ruth was a member of Light of Life Baptist Church in Woodfin for over 25 years.  She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Doyle Adams; two daughters, Dianne Reynolds (Michael) and Kelly Davis; one sister, Vickie Jennings; four grandchildren, Ashley Boyer (Kyle), Micah Milhorn (Bradley), Aaron Reynolds (Cheynne); and Cole Davis; and three great grandchildren, Hunter, Blake, Brayden; and one on the way. 

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Adams will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Light of Life Baptist Church, 2296 Riverside Drive, Asheville, with Revs. Mark Crowder, Brian Roberts and Michael Reynolds officiating.  Interment will follow at Upper Metcalf Creek Cemetery in Madison County.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
